With every model of TV lift that Firgelli Offers, the option to attach a PVR or other electronic box to the TV mouting bars can be done very easily using readily available Velcro strips. In this video we used 1" wide Velcro that wrapped around the upper and lower TV arms that come with all of our TV lift mechanisms, then wrapped around the electronic device.
How to attach the PVR to the TV Lift
First cut 2 strips of double sided velcro to approx 45" long strips. The velcro we used was double sided. This means it was hook style on one side of the strip and the other side is loop.
Once the Velcro straps are attached then add the PVR or other electronic box that you wish to install. Slide the PVR sideways so that it ends up been flush with the TV. This is so that the PVR will remain out sight when watching TV, but the remote control will still function because the IR signal that all devices use bounces off things, so having the side mounted device means it will work fine.
Remember that Velcro is incredibly strong, and can carry far more weight than the average PVR Box. Now the PVR box will go up and down along with the TV lift.
In this example above we used an outdoor TV lift cabinet to demonstrate how this works. The TV lift mechanism used here is the Firgelli TVL-180 floor mounted TV lift but this also works the same with the Firgelli TVL-170 rear mounted model.
